My Design Principles

  • I am dedicated to creating designs that center on an accessible user experience. I dedicate myself to investigating all aspects of the user and implementing that understanding into my design.

  • I approach creating designs with inclusivity and diversity in mind. One size does not fit all, and I approach my initial research with the same mindset.

  • Asking the right questions during testing is critical to my design process. During testing, I aim to discover important feedback. I live to uncover unlikely problems and find creative ways to solve them.

  • I will test different ideas and solutions over and over again until I find one that fits my project. I value excellent feedback. I am the designer who values picking myself back up and forging ahead.

My Design Process

  • Jumping right into a new project, I like to define the needs of my clients and gain a clear understanding of limitations such as time, budget, and expectations. This allows me to forecast what my role on the project will look like.

  • When diving into research, I prioritize a holistic view of the problem my team is trying to solve. I want to talk to people, and look at data, and stakeholders to get the best understanding of the challenge ahead.

  • I take all the research, defined problems, and user research and synthesize it into digestible information for me and the design team. I take away personas, journey maps, affinity maps, storyboards, hypotheses, and problem statements and set the parameters for beginning to ideate.

  • Using the findings from the UX research, I dive right into creative solutions. I get to implement my imagination and heart into this part of the process and devise a multitude of possibilities for users.

  • This is where my work comes to life. When moving on to prototypes, I keep a keen eye on the aesthetics and accessibility of my designs. I make sure to be consistent when creating hi-fi clickable prototypes.

  • When it comes to testing, I am determined to be thorough and expansive in my testing to get the right feedback. Fine-tuning or even starting from the beginning, I will test and iterate a prototype again and again.
